Just when you thought you couldn’t get rid of your mouth sores, here comes the home remedies that are all-natural and can surely provide relief to your discomforts.

Canker sores and fever blisters are two of the most common types of mouth sores.

They usually heal on their own, but to speed up your mouth’s recovery, it is ideal to take immediate action and find assistance from nature.

Natural Treatment for Canker Mouth Sores

\

Onions

Make some slices of onions. Put an onion slice on your canker sore. Let it stay there for around 15 minutes.

Afterwards, you can wash or rinse your mouth with cold water. Onions are considered to be useful for treating sores, including relieving inflammation.

\

Plum Juice

Prepare 3 to 4 tablespoons of plum juice. Use this amount to rinse your mouth 2 to 3 times a day.

Another method for plum juice is soaking the cotton ball on it and holding the cotton ball against the affected area for few minutes.

\

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera has numerous benefits to offer for the human body; one of these is its ability to relieve mouth sores.

You can opt for an aloe vera plant and remove the gel inside its leaf to apply directly to your sore.

Also, you can choose for an aloe vera juice found in groceries and drug stores. Rinse your mouth using this juice to reduce the pain from canker sores. Do this 3 to 4 times a day.

\

Chamomile

Boil 1 cup of water with 3 tablespoons of dried chamomile flowers on it. Allow it to boil for 2 minutes.

Steep for around 5 to 7 minutes and let it cool down until it’s lukewarm already.

Strain and enjoy the cup of tea. Drink the chamomile tea 3 to 4 times a day to advance your recovery from canker sores.

Natural Treatment for Fever Blister Mouth Sores

Witch Hazel

The extract of witch hazel is excellent for treating bruises and swelling such as fever blisters (also known as cold sores).

Put a witch hazel extract on a cotton ball and apply it directly to your cold sore. Repeat this step twice a day.

\

Peppermint Oil

Wash the affected area of the mouth before applying the oil.

You need to soak first the cotton swab in water to dilute the oil later on. Put 2 to 3 drops of peppermint oil on the wet cotton swab.

\

Green Tea

There are two ways to make green tea as your remedy for cold sores or fever blisters. First, follow the usual procedure for making green tea.

Drink the tea 2 to 3 times a day to treat your cold sore. The second method is making your green tea bag as a compress for cold sore.

Dip the tea bag in cold water. After removing the bag, squeeze it gently to eliminate the excess water.

Put the tea bag on your sore and let it stay there for 15 minutes. Do this 3 to 4 times a day.

\

Honey

Use unprocessed raw honey to relieve your cold sores. Put some honey on the cotton ball and apply this to the affected area.

Repeat this process 3 to 4 times every day until the cold sore is gone.

Unprocessed raw honey contains enzymes and natural sugar that suppress the development of microorganisms such as herpes virus, making it very effective for wounds and sores.
