3 Problems Dental Veneers Can Fix
Hi, I’m Dr Billy Choi, the principal dentist at Precision Dental here at Fortitude Valley in Brisbane..
Last Friday, one of my high school buddies, Andrew, visited our clinic. He recently moved a few blocks from here and is looking for a new dentist to look after him.
He told me he has been thinking of Porcelain veneers because he gets very conscious every time he smiles. During our conversation, he asked me, “Billy, what problems can dental veneers fix?”
This is a very common question we get from cosmetic patients. Smile makeovers are one of the most popular treatments we do here, so I thought I’ll make a short video sharing with you what I shared with Andrew.
Dental veneers are cosmetic restorations for mainly the front teeth, as well as the premolars on the side, depending on how big your smile is, and they are used to basically improve the aesthetics of your smile by making the front teeth in an ideal shape, size and in golden proportions.
The first problem veneers can fix is the mild misalignment of the front teeth. When some teeth are rotated or crooked, you can use dental veneers to mask this. This is a great solution when you don’t have the time and commitment for orthodontic treatments.
The second problem dental veneers can fix are the size of the teeth. Whether they are too small, too big, or simply make them more uniformed. By adjusting the width and length of the teeth, dental veneers can make your smile more harmonious to the rest of your face.
Finally, dental veneers are great to fix the colour of your teeth. When in chair teeth whitening is not achieving the shade you want, maybe because of intrinsic discolouration, dental veneers are a great option to brighten your teeth, giving you a much more radiant smile.
Here at Precision Dental, we offer both porcelain veneers and composite resin veneers, so we have something to suit your lifestyle, your goals and your budget.
So if you are currently not happy with your smile, and want to upgrade it with dental veneers, we would love to look after you.
